A Case of Extrauterine Displacement of Lippes Loop into Vesicouterine Pouch

Abstract
|
|
|
The Lippes Loop, as a contraceptive method, is effective, semipermanent and one of the most popularly using method. However, extrauterine displacement of the Lippes Loop may rarely occur and require laparotomy.
Commonly, these displacements are into abdominal cavity and may be easily diagnosed by X-ray or laparoscopic technique. A case of displaced Lippes Loop below the vesico-uterine peritoneum, which is extremely rare, was found in our hospital and the location of the loop was sustained by radiological fluoroscopy, then laparotomic removal was followed. Our ,one case reported here.
